How to Establish a Strong Brand Presence on Social Media

If you're anything like me, you probably find yourself laughing at (pointless) yet funny videos or images on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. But social media can be a powerful tool for crafting and nurturing your brand identity IF you make the transition from social media spectator to active content creator and engager. These days, authenticity is the name of the game and social media is the perfect tool to help you tell your story, show off your personality, and connect with your audience on a more personal level.

It all starts with consistency. Your brand should have a consistent look, feel, and tone across all your social media platforms (hello branding!). Whether you're sharing a post on Instagram or dancing on TikTok, your followers should instantly recognize your brand's unique style. This means having clear brand colors, fonts, voice, imagery, and overall style (and sticking to it!) Investing in professional branding can make all the difference when it comes to standing out to your audience, but also makes your life 10x easier since it gives you the toolkit you need to make beautiful, on-brand content every time.

Speaking of style, don't be afraid to get creative! Experiment with different types of content – from eye-catching graphics to engaging videos. Use stories to give your audience a sneak peek behind the scenes of your brand. Showcase the people who make your business tick; show them the heart and soul that goes into your products or services. Show them YOU! ⭐️

Now let's talk about the number 1 thing that gets left in the dust when it comes to building a strong brand presence on socials. I'm talkin' about engagement – the secret sauce behind every thriving social media account. It's not just about posting and praying for likes. It's about connecting with your audience in a meaningful way. Reply to comments, ask questions, and create polls or surveys to get your followers involved. Building a community around your brand is essential to growing your audience and keeping them around.

Lastly, do your research! It's so important to know who your audience actually is and which social media platform they like to hangout in most. Make sure your content is tailored to fit each platform's culture and style. They are very very different and no one wants to look like that old, out-of-touch person on socials. 😳 Make sure you're using the insights provided by each platform to track what's working and what's not. This data is pure gold and helps you learn about what your audience wants from you so you can constantly refine your strategy to create fresh, on-trend content.

Building a strong brand presence on socials takes time, but will happen with a little bit of patience and by following the tips above. In the meantime, I'm cheering you on!

P.S. if you come through our process as a branding client we offer Social Media Management as an ongoing service to help you continue to grow within the new brand we have just created for you! If this sounds like something that would suit you and your brand give us a holler 🙂
